Dr. Anna Krzyszowska Waitkus delivered a guest lecture to the I-Semester MSc students of Environmental Science and provided training on Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Methods on 19 April 2024.

Dr. Anna Krzyszowska Waitkus is a consultant specialized in reclamation management practices. Her experience includes 20 years in soil/water pollution research and 17 years in the mining industry, rules and regulations. She effectively combines the knowledge of environmental protection requirements and ecosystem interactions of various human impacts in the semi-arid climate of western USA prairie and polar tundra. She uses her environmental conservation training and diverse skills to educate others about land disturbance, pollution, and reclamation. She has taught classes on the reclamation of disturbed areas at universities and governmental institutions in the USA, Poland, Norway, and China. She voluntarily teaches at the national level with the U.S. Department of the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation, and Enforcement.
