Dr. Sudeep Thakuri is a Climate Researcher, focusing his research work on cryosphere, climate change and environmental issues in the Himalaya. Currently, serving as Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, and Faculty of Engineering, Mid-West University, Nepal and Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences at Tribhuvan University. He has published over 100 international and national scientific articles, reports, book, and book chapters.
Research Interests: Climate dynamics, Climate Analysis and Modelling, GHG emissions, Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS, Cryosphere and hydrological processes

Responsible for teaching and research in environmental science, in particular, Remote sensing and GIS, Environmental Modelling, climate dynamics, and hydrological processes. Previously worked as an Expert with different national and international organizations, including the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, WWF Nepal, University of Milan, Institute of Water Research – National Research Council, and Ev-K2-CNR Association of Italy in various roles.
