Project on Feasibility Study for the Solid Waste Management Practices in Gandaki Province
Description of the project: This project was signed between the Gandaki Province Government, Gandaki Province Policy and Planning Commission, Pokhara Nepal (First party), and the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University (Second Party) on April 2024 in the G2G model. The four different natures of municipalities, i.e., Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kusma Municipality, Gaidakot Municipality, and Chame Rural Municipality of the Province were chosen for the study. In a long-term approach, this study has picturized achieving a zero-landfill future for municipal waste of Gandaki Province through comprehensive source reduction strategies.
