Prakash Timilsina, PhD Fellow at the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, published a research article entitled 'Effects of canopy gap size on the recruitment of Shorea robusta Gaertn. F. seedlings in the Terai forests of Nepal' in Global Ecology and Conservation. The research concludes that smaller gaps promote the regeneration of S. robusta and other woody species in the Terai forests of Nepal. This research is funded by the Research Coordination and Development Council, the Office of Rector, Tribhuvan University, Nepal (Grant # EF-079-80-Col-02).
