Ashok Baniya, PhD Fellow at the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, published a research article entitled 'Water quality alteration by diversion hydropower dams in the Trisuli and Marsyangdi rivers, Nepal' in the Aquatic Sciences journal. The article deals with the impacts of hydropower dams (weirs) on water quality in the Trisuli and Marsyangdi rivers, particularly in the dewater zone. Mr. Baniya is being supervised by Prof. Dr. Chhatra Mani Sharma. The research was partially funded by the Higher Education Reform Project at the Tribhuvan University.
